In the beginning, Hans-Helmut Röhring – founder of our NGO – and his wife Barbara hand over the first donation cheques to Daphne Sheldrick and Jill Woodley in person. Jill is Daphne’s daughter from her first marriage and she helps to build up the Elephant Nursery. Here you can see a photo from 1994.
